Dr. Anja Whittington teaches Recreation, Parks, and Tourism at Radford and has invited us to join her class on a "field-trip" trail maintenance trip on the OCVT section of the Appalachian Trail.
We'll be driving down to Bland county and digging sidehill to combat the heavy erosion of the trail in that area. This is especially important as thru-hikers will soon be passing through and a narrow trail across a steep hill can be very dangerous during the rainy season.
So if you're a pro trail-builder or don't actually know what a pulaski is, come on out and give back to the Appalachian Trail!

Digging trail is fun, but hardly easy.
